Poet and english professor Naomi Long Madgett (1923 - ) was first published at age twelve. Madgett was the recipient of many honors including 1993's American Book Award and the George Kent Award in 1995. Madgett was interviewed by The HistoryMakers on 3/5/2007 and 6/27/2007, in Detriot, Michigan and Detroit, Michigan. This collection is comprised of the video footage of the interview.
